A pork chop, such as other great meat chops, is generally a flat rib or section of a fish and is generally a loin cut vertically from the base of the pork to about one inch above the ribs. Pork chops are very lean and quite unprocessed. In many cases, the meat may have been left to cook on its own for a few hours or days before it was prepared for use in recipes.
If you are looking for a pork chop recipe that is easy to make and tasty, then I would recommend you go for one that calls for basting sauce. The basting sauce adds moisture and flavor to the meat and makes it more tender. Another ingredient that is commonly added to pork is soy sauce which helps it add a nice flavor. To help it along, I always like to add fresh onions, bell pepper, celery and maybe some green onions or scallions before cooking. All these additions will help the meal stick to the bones and add a nice crunch to it.
For brown sugar glaze, I usually will not buy the bottled variety but instead use a mix of light brown sugar and powdered sugar. The mixture can be made by simply using a food processor or you could probably make it by combining a bit of flour, salt and water into a paste and stirring into a bowl. Then, you just pour it into your pan and bake it until it turns dark and then remove it from the oven and cut into the desired size and shape. These glazed pigs are so good, I usually serve them with dipping sauces.
